Class Tier List

This page is the full class ranking for Bake or Die. Letters follow impact on 32-player nights versus Gold Nugget cost. Sportskeeda’s 31 August 2026 roster is the cost and starter source; community consensus places Bombastica, Gladiator, and Gunslinger in S, with Bounty Hunter, Wizard, and Mad Scientist as expensive late S or A picks if your bank can eat 450–600 Nuggets or a login exclusive. For perk paragraphs instead of grades, use the class roster and the class picker.

Cash still matters: a Gunslinger without revolvers is a slower Baker. Classes do not replace the Gunsmith, they change how every dollar and every pie pays off. There are no promo codes that skip this shop. Farm Nuggets in-run, then spend them on a kit you will actually level to 3.

Login exclusives are not “secret S.” Scavenger is a scrap utility kit. Mad Scientist can play like late S if you own it, but you cannot route 250 Nuggets into a login wall. Never plan a beginner path around either exclusive.

S-tier: who actually carries nights

Bombastica is the default best class if you can pay 250 Nuggets and keep explosive pies in the cannon. Level 1 guarantees a Fire Zombie every night and adds explosion range on explosive and mine pies. Level 2 adds damage and knockback. Level 3 is Overcharge: 20 seconds of infinite launcher ammo, explosion resistance, and HP on kills. That is why the letter is S instead of “expensive A.” The kit is not a gun class. You bake ammo. If your oven is empty, the cannon is a club.

Gladiator is the melee S pick at 75 Nuggets. Steel of Mars plus Blood stacks (max 6) turns getting hit into damage and lifesteal. Surrounded bonuses at level 2 are built for diner door fights. Death Wish at level 3 is a once-per-run frenzy: kill something in ten seconds or stay dead. The restriction is real: you cannot pick up guns. If you keep buying Revolvers out of habit, you bought the wrong class.

Gunslinger is the value S pick. Sixty-five Nuggets, a free Revolver, +35% reload at level 1, 10% ammo save at level 2, +24% gun damage and −67% recoil at level 3. It is the kit that makes dual $150 Revolvers and later the SMG feel like a plan instead of a panic buy. Bombastica still out-clears it. Gunslinger still gets you there first.

A-tier: pay more or play support

Necromancer at 300 Nuggets is the summoner. The Undead Staff spends absorbed souls on allied zombies. Level 2 buffs minion damage and health. Level 3 doubles soul capacity and adds minion speed. Night visibility is the quiet perk that keeps you from eating a runner you never saw. It is A, not S, because the army is slower than a Kaboom volley and the staff does not replace personal damage if the summons dumpster into a boss.

Doctor is the squad A pick. Bandages, first aid, and a revive kit in the starter pile, plus stronger heals, night regen, and splash healing at level 3. Solo, those tools are overpay compared with Juggernaut’s double HP. In a 32-player diner that actually revives, Doctor is the difference between a wipe and a rebuilt funnel.

Butcher at 40 Nuggets is the economy fighter. The Chainsaw turns corpses into ingredients on the spot, and level 3 can double those drops. That loop feeds pie recipes and, if a teammate is Bombastica, feeds explosive pies too. Exterminator at 55 Nuggets poisons with the Blowpipe, spreads on death, and then punches 50% harder into poisoned targets. It is the cheap A kit for players who like attrition more than shotguns.

B, C, and D: buy these on purpose

Juggernaut at 30 Nuggets is the beginner shield, not a forever main. Double HP at level 1 forgives bad night positioning while you learn the diner. Technician is the turret carpenter: placeable Auto Turrets, double ammo on reload, Advanced Auto Turret at level 3. Ninja is a clean melee sidegrade if Gladiator’s gun ban feels too strict. Unicyclist is mobility after the flying removal; 150 Nuggets is a lot for speed you can also get by not standing in the door.

Baker at 10 Nuggets is the first shop icon most players can afford. Faster baking and later sell bonuses print Cash. Cash does not hold Night 8. Medic is a budget Doctor that you should skip if a real Doctor is in the squad. Gardener at 200 Nuggets is a farm class competing with Bombastica’s price band and losing that fight for most players. Repairman is D: repairs are already cheap, and a hammer does not stop a boss.

Who to buy, in order

Solo beginners: Juggernaut 30, then Gunslinger 65, then save for Bombastica 250. That path is HP, then guns, then wave clear. Do not siphon the Bombastica pile into Wizard at 600 unless you already own the S kits and want a spell main. Squads insert Doctor at 75 as soon as people start dropping in the funnel. Melee players replace Gunslinger with Gladiator at 75 or Butcher at 40.

If you already own Gunslinger and hate explosives, Necromancer is the 300 Nugget fork. If you already own Bombastica and still wipe, the class is not the leak; read survive nights and stop leaving two doors open. Spend Nuggets on the path that matches how you actually die at night, not the next glowing portrait on the lobby wall.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for diner nights, classes, and pie sells.

Is Gunslinger really S-tier at only 65 Nuggets?

Yes. It is the cheapest S class because gun perks apply to every firearm you buy later. Bombastica is stronger; Gunslinger is the buy that gets you to Bombastica alive.

Should I buy Baker first because it costs 10 Nuggets?

Only if you want a tiny economy bump this week. Juggernaut at 30 saves more nights. Baker is C-tier and does not replace a combat class.

Why is Repairman D-tier?

Repair tools are already fast and cheap. The Iron Repair Hammer kit spends 20 Nuggets on a problem most diners solve with Cash and a wrench, not a dedicated class.

Can I buy Scavenger or Mad Scientist with Nuggets?

No. Both are login exclusives. Scavenger starts with the Scrap Magnet. Mad Scientist starts with the Hand Cannon. Do not wait on them to start the Juggernaut path.

Is Gladiator still S if I cannot use guns?

Yes, if you commit to melee. Blood stacks, surrounded bonuses, and Death Wish out-damage most B-tier gun kits. If you want revolvers, buy Gunslinger instead.

Where should I go after this list?

Open Bombastica, Gunslinger, or Necromancer for kit guides, or use the class picker if you still cannot name a first purchase.
