Bake or Die Wizard

Wizard is Bake or Die’s 600 Gold Nugget prestige class. You buy it in the lobby Class Shop, you spawn with a Wizard Staff, and the shop stamps it as 3 Exclusive pie rarity. Big Bakers added it in the 18 July 2026 window alongside login rewards, login-only Scavenger and Scientist kits, shop bandage retunes, and the Minigun price cut to $40k. The staff is not a Revolver. It is not the Kaboom Cannon. Spells scale as you level the staff in-run. The diner is still a 32-player Roblox place launched on 5 April 2025, still live on the 6 September 2026 stamp, still without a code box that refunds 600 Nuggets.

It sits in late S or A on the class tier list because the ceiling is high and the ticket is absurd. Bombastica at 250 is still the wave-clear you should own first. Gunslinger at 65 is still the cheapest S. Wizard is the mannequin you walk past until the spine is done. Perk rows live on the class roster. The buy tree lives on the class picker.

Wizard Staff and the spell loop

Every match with Wizard equipped puts the Wizard Staff in your hotbar. Creator showcases quote the lobby blurb: a master of the arcane; level the staff to unlock stronger spells; slay enemies with spells to grow power each night. That is a second XP track on top of the three class perk levels. A level 1 Wizard with a level 1 staff is a glow stick. A level 3 Archmage with a level 5 staff is why people dump a month of dailies.

Keep Cash for a backup gun or a knife. Spells do not feed Auto Turret plates. They do not grind corpses. They do not bake the six-slot pie that pays the night. You are not Baker and you are not Gardener. Day phase is still oven, then explore, then walls. Night phase is staff first, revolver second if a runner ignores the sparkle.

Do not sell the staff to fund an SMG. The class identity is the stick. A pretty automatic with no spells is Gunslinger without the 65 Nugget perks, purchased at nine Gunslingers of cost.

Sportskeeda’s class dump (updated through late July 2026) and creator showcases agree on the three-level line:

Level 1. Slightly increased visibility at night. Walk speed +5%. This is the same quiet night-vision idea Necromancer gets, plus a jog. It is on the moment you equip the class. It does not justify 600 Nuggets by itself.

Level 2. Spells deal +20% more damage. Healing spells are +20% more powerful. Max health +5%. Now the staff is a weapon and a weak medic. It still does not replace Doctor on a 32-player squad. It means a Wizard who actually casts is no longer a costume.

Level 3 — Archmage. Max health +15%. Purple Lightning unlocks at staff level 5; Lightning Storm chains twice as far. Azure Inferno: fire spells burn blue, +15% fire damage, +20% fire spell range. This is the breakpoint. If you never play the kit to Archmage and staff 5, you paid 600 Nuggets for night vision and a walk buff. Level 3 is the Exclusive-pie stamp earning its icon.

600 Nuggets versus the real spine

Juggernaut is 30. Gunslinger is 65. Bombastica is 250. Wizard is 600. That is twenty Juggernauts, or nine Gunslingers, or two Bombasticas plus a Doctor. The nuggets guide is three dailies, the badge scroll, chests, and night 5/10/15 landmarks. Wizard is a long savings plan, not a week-one target.

The same 18 July patch added login rewards. Scavenger (Scrap Magnet) and Mad Scientist (Hand Cannon) sit on that track, not on the Nugget wall. Do not confuse the login Scientist with the 600 Nugget Wizard. One is a calendar. One is a pile.

Bounty Hunter at 450 is the other expensive gun alt. Take Bounty Hunter if you already walk the map and cash civilians. Take Wizard if you want the staff fantasy after Bombastica is owned. Take neither if Night 4 still wipes you.

How to play the class

Day: bake. Spells do not print Cash. Factory pies and desert meat still go through the mixer. Rescue NPCs when the oven is already on. You are not skipping Food Factory because you own a glow stick.

Night: stand where the pack funnels and spend spells into the clump. Lightning wants density. Fire wants a line. Blood Moon nights (every five) are the staff’s job. Single-target bosses still want a gun or a Bombastica teammate; the scientist at Evergreen and the factory closer are not a level 1 sparkle check.

Squad: call the lane. A Doctor still revives. A Technician turret still finishes. Four Wizards will light the same doorway and then look confused when the generator dies. One Wizard plus one Gunslinger plus one Doctor is a diner.

When 600 Nuggets is a mistake

You do not own Juggernaut. You do not own Gunslinger. You do not own Bombastica. You wanted the lobby portrait. You thought Exclusive-pie rarity was a code. Repairman at 20 is a cheaper wrong click. Baker at 10 is a cheaper oven. Wizard is only correct when the diner already lives and you want a spell main.

The 6 September 2026 Roblox stamp does not retune this price on a public changelog. If #out-the-oven cuts 600 to something sane, latest updates will move. Until then, treat 600 as the ceiling of the shop wall.

The Wizard Staff is a 600 Nugget receipt for a diner that already holds the night. Level Archmage, level the staff to five, and stop treating a login-rewards patch as a beginner kit. Spells that never hit staff 5 are just expensive night lights on a 32-player street.
